Department Bio
The Office of Online Education (ESIA Online) in the Elliott School of International Affairs supports the development, delivery, and maintenance of online graduate courses. The office works directly with academic units to provide Elliott School faculty and staff with resources and guidance on effective online instruction. ESIA Online collaborates closely with faculty to plan and design new online courses, including supporting the multimedia production of instructor videos. Additionally, the office assists with course maintenance and readiness procedures to facilitate successful course launches prior to each semester.
Position Specific Summary
The Student Program Coordinator III will assist with scheduling meetings, project tracking, instructor communication, digital resource organization, Blackboard course maintenance, and quality assurance reviews to support the ongoing success of online graduate courses in the Elliott School of International Affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Track and update course development progress, organizing course deliverables, and sending project deadline reminders Support communication with online instructors via shared office email account Maintain and organize video inventory of instructor- recorded lectures Assist with the development and upkeep of a SharePoint resource site for instructors Organize and manage an internal Google Drive containing instructional guides, templates, and other faculty resources Assist with course readiness tasks in Blackboard prior to the start of each term, including quality assurance reviews and content verification Perform formal evaluation of completed course developments using the Quality Matters (QM) rubric Perform general administrative tasks to support the operations of the office Other special projects or duties may be assigned related to specific office needs Note:
Completion of a Quality Matters (QM) training will be required as part of onboarding to support course review work. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized student with an interest in instructional design, higher education, project coordination, communications, or digital content management. Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply.

The student will assist in the management and leading of program(s). Tasks may include leading and organizing programs; designing and implementing program timelines, goals, communications, and budgets; serving as a primary point of contact for the program; coordinating with collaborators and other departments reporting updates and outcomes; training and managing student staff.
