As a Prototype Design Manager, you will lead a team of digital modelers, product engineering designers, project managers, and scanning technologists to translate concepts into functional high-fidelity prototypes. Leveraging your expertise in automotive design and engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the early-stage development of Ford's next-generation vehicle content and experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive systems and subsystems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in design, engineering, or equivalent Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering and/or design with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and subsystems 5+ years of experience leading complex projects and teams 5+ years of experience with prototype manufacturing techniques such as additive manufacturing (3D Printing), milling, fiberglass layups, clay modeling, etc. 5+ years of experience with design / PLM software like Catia, 3DX, Teamcenter, Alias, etc. Experience collaborating with design, engineering, marketing, and program management teams Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking Excellent communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in design, engineering, or equivalent 5+ years of experience in prototype software design and development, focusing on rapid iteration Fluency in CAD software such as Catia, Rhino, Alias, etc. Experience with machine learning, AI, or other advanced technologies If you may not meet every requirement but believe you can bring value to Ford, we encourage you to apply.
