ChasmTeam Confidential Search - VP Engineering July 28, 2025 About the Role: As our VP of Engineering, you will lead our innovative engineering teams, driving excellence in software, data, and AI. You will inspire and empower geographically diverse teams to achieve ambitious goals. Collaborating with quality engineers, product owners, and business leaders, you will oversee engineering processes to meet and exceed business objectives. Your leadership will foster growth, provide constructive feedback, and unlock the full potential of our teams. You will partner with our CTO on strategic initiatives that shape the company's future. From scaling our engineering organization to identifying opportunities for innovation and growth, you will be a key player in our next chapter of excellence. You Will: Communicate confidently with executive teams and inspire trust across the organization. Lead initiatives in Quality, Data, Product Engineering, AI, Development Productivity, and Benchmarking. Establish thought leadership in Data and AI. Handle high-stakes customer interactions professionally. Mentor and develop talent, ensuring adherence to architectural strategies, coding standards, and policies. Participate in software architectural discussions, advocating for consistency and excellence. Identify opportunities to improve people, processes, and performance within Agile/Scrum teams. Scale the organizational structure for growth (up to 100+ engineers). Ensure data security and promote ethical practices across operations. What We're Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years managing large, global teams. Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, OO concepts, design patterns, cloud architecture, AI, and frameworks like Spark and APIs. Experience designing scalable, distributed systems for data processing (10s to 100s of TBs). Ability to influence and participate in technical discussions with stakeholders. Proven success leading engineering teams supporting enterprise customers. Technical expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, and FHIR. Experience working with healthcare data is required.
