HR Assistant at Cheeca Lodge & Spa: Enhancing Team Engagement and Compliance
Join Our HR Team:
At Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada, we are seeking an HR Coordinator dedicated to maintaining a positive and productive workplace. This role requires a proactive approach in handling daily HR responsibilities, supporting team members, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Communication: Foster a welcoming environment by greeting and assisting team members and candidates warmly. Respond promptly and effectively to inquiries, ensuring team member and candidate satisfaction. Assist with HR Team in handling phone calls and resolving inquiries. Maintain consistent communication with other departments regarding HR matters such as new hire statuses and training schedules.
Human Resources: Manage the employee administration from recruitment through exit, including conducting orientations, processing new hire paperwork. Input and maintain accurate employee data in the ADP HR system and ensure all HR-related training compliance. Organize and schedule orientations with department heads, ensuring new hires are integrated efficiently. Coordinate with HR management to address and resolve employee issues promptly. Calling and scheduling new employees for their first day and onboarding Assist new hires with ADP onboarding (account creation and paperwork) Make copies of I-9 documents and enter info into ADP system Make nametags Enroll new employees on time clock Orientation scheduling - calling and scheduling new employees for class and also notifying managers Following up on employment verifications and creating employment verification letters for employees Filing and File management ADP password reset assistance 401K.com sign-up assistance Benefits enrollment notifications and assistance Info boards upkeep Monthly Birthday cards report and sending out the cards Monthly anniversary report and sending out anniversary cards and posting on info boards
Requirements:
Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole Ability to be friendly and welcoming when asked the same questions over and over, or helping applicants and team members with various ADP processes multiple times a day. Administrative experience HR experience or degree a plus Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and interact professionally with all levels of management.

Education - High school diploma or GED
Skills and Experience (Essential) - At least 18 years of age - Basic computer skills - Must be able to read, communicate effectively and have superb interpersonal skills - Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints
Skills and Experience (Preferred) - Work experience Human Resources in the hospitality or restaurant industry - Experience with programs such as ADP Payforce, Timesaver, Recruiting tool, etc. - Bi or Multi-lingual
