Technology Modernization - Strategy Manager

As a Technology Modernization Strategy Manager, you’ll provide strategic technology advisory services to address business needs throughout client organizations for the Technology Modernization Practice – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.

Perform detailed analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, documenting conclusions, and providing recommendations.

Utilize and continuously learn new technologies to collaborate with team members and enhance service delivery.

Engage directly with client executive leadership to lead the analysis, documentation, and recommendations of technology strategies, business process improvements, technology platform architectures, custom application design, strategic roadmaps, transformation business cases, and other solutions as required.

Leverage various data collection techniques, selecting appropriate methods and prioritization to fit project objectives and deliverables, and applying established analytical models to evaluate findings, data, costs, and benefits.

Assist in strategic planning that integrates multiple functional disciplines including accounting, finance, sales, operations, human capital management, and information technology to support the client’s business strategy and operational plans.

Assist in strategic road mapping and implementation services that effectively and efficiently meet business objectives and ensure a return on investment.

Develop recommendations that leverage artificial intelligence, strategic enterprise architecture, cloud/infrastructure modernization, and IT operational improvements.

Assist practice leadership in creating proposals, budgets, and work plans. Participate in other business development activities as appropriate.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, information technology, MIS, or related field. A master’s degree is a plus. MBA preferred.

5+ years of management consulting experience or equivalent required.

Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and experience with data modeling and/or process mapping.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.

Experience with organizational business hierarchies and dimensions in a multi-company environment.

Experience leading and coordinating business and technology capability strategies, operating models, diligence, and integration/separation strategies.

Knowledge of and ability to document and assess business life-cycle processes (e.g., order to cash, procure to pay, record to report, hire to retire).

Hands-on experience with enterprise business applications (CRMs, ERPs, HCMs) and platform-agnostic strategies.

Experience developing strategic business cases and roadmaps for enterprise system transformation.

Experience leveraging artificial intelligence, enterprise architecture, cloud/infrastructure architecture, and IT operations (ITIL/ITSM).

This position requires in-person attendance at least two days per week, either at a Grant Thornton office or client site.

Salary Range:

$152,000 - $228,000 in Islin, NJ; Minneapolis, MN; Hartford, CT offices.
