Our client, a leading environmental consulting firm in the Northeast U.S., is seeking a full-time Hybrid/Remote Project / Program Manager to support their ecological sciences and energy/offshore wind practices. This role involves planning and coordinating environmental and regulatory reviews, and permitting projects in New York State and the Northeast. POSITION SUMMARY - Hybrid/Remote The successful candidate will manage medium to large scale projects, apply environmental regulations, develop schedules and budgets, mentor staff, and act as the technical expert in public meetings and workshops. Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of environmental statutes and regulations are essential. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline. 15+ years of experience in environmental permitting and consulting in the Northeast. Client development and management skills. Experience with office and staff management is preferred. Understanding of federal, state, and local environmental laws. Superior writing and oral communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to travel and participate in field work/studies within the region. WORKING CONDITIONS The position is initially remote, moving to a hybrid office/remote setting in New York State.
