In order to make an application, simply read through the following job description and make sure to attach relevant documents. RSM is looking for a driven Audit Manager to join our Real Estate teams. Our Real Estate practice serves public and private clients including real estate private equity funds, advisors, institutional investors, joint ventures, hotels, hospitality, developers, and owners/operators of commercial, retail, and multifamily real estate. Being part of this practice will provide exposure to various lines of business within the industry, such as cost segregation studies, purchase price allocation, valuation services, lease consulting, and other specialty services.

Responsibilities:

Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds expectations, including coordinating the auditing of financial statements, disclosures, and client deliverables.

Assess risk and design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams.

Understand and utilize RSM's Audit Methodology.

Manage multiple engagement teams and evaluate staff performance.

Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors, facilitating field work and monitoring productivity and adherence to schedules.

Maintain contact with clients to understand significant developments and assess impacts on audits.

Develop others through training, advising, and participating in firm initiatives.

Share relevant industry information with clients and address client concerns proactively.

Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior management and partners.

Manage project profitability and identify performance improvement opportunities.

Ensure ongoing professional development and stay updated on GAAP and firm policies.

Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the year, depending on client needs.

Required Qualifications:

BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent.

CPA or CA Certification.

5+ years of recent experience in public accounting.

Experience leading teams and mentoring staff.

Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, or IFRS regulations.

Proven ability to build profitable client relationships.

Minimum of 4 years in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience directing staff on multiple simultaneous engagements.

Note: We do not hire entry-level candidates requiring sponsorship now or in the future unless they have 1-2 years of relevant experience as a recent graduate.

Salary range: $89,800 - $170,500. Discretionary bonuses are available based on performance.
