Audit Manager

to join our

Insurance team . Our Insurance group is a rapidly growing practice nationwide, focused specifically on insurance companies, where we are the middle market leaders across the country.

Responsibilities:

Provide timely, high-quality client service, coordinating the auditing of financial statements, disclosures, and other deliverables.

Assess risk and design audit procedures, communicating them to engagement teams.

Understand and utilize RSM's Audit Methodology.

Manage multiple engagement teams and evaluate staff performance.

Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors, monitoring productivity and adherence to work plans.

Maintain client contact throughout the year to understand significant developments and their impact.

Develop others through training, advising, and participating in firm initiatives.

Subscribe to industry publications and share relevant information with clients.

Address client concerns and escalate issues as needed.

Discuss opportunities for additional services with clients and develop external relationships for business growth.

Manage project profitability and identify performance improvement opportunities.

Ensure professional development and stay updated on GAAP and firm standards.

Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the year, depending on client needs.

Required Qualifications:

BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent.

CPA or CA certification.

At least 5 years of recent experience in public accounting.

Experience leading teams and mentoring staff.

Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, or IFRS regulations.

Proven ability to build profitable client relationships.

Minimum of 4 years in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience directing staff on multiple simultaneous engagements.

Our salary range for this role is $89,800 - $170,500, reflecting various factors including experience, education, and location. Selected candidates are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
