Position is responsible for maintaining all quality related tasks as defined in the Quality Management System. This includes inspecting in-house audits, reports and overseeing all Shipping Auditor Personnel. Duties and Responsibilities: Review and follow quality system procedures and instructions Train all new personnel Provide all the tools necessary for the Auditing personnel Make sure all zones are audited equal to the percentages of product being shipped Perform appropriate record keeping as defined by the Quality Manager Work with the Shipping Supervisors and Leads on resolving issues that arise Work with Shipping when they need additional assistance and make sure the Auditors are trained sufficiently to assist. Add photos where needed for clarification of issues discovered Handle UPS returns, assign RTs and issue misc shippers to forward to Independence Must be available to work with both the 1 st and 2 nd shifts when required Performs other work-related duties as required Qualifications/Skills: HS diploma or equivalent certification Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 Requirements Knowledge of JDE, WMS, Access Database, RF Must have computer knowledge such as Microsoft Excel and Word Able to run Queries Follow instructions/directions with no supervision and able to make a decision based on data Self-motivated individual willing and able to take initiative as well as work in team environment Ability to lift 40 lb. Other physical demands: constant standing and walking; occasional bending/stooping Working Conditions The Lead will be working in the warehouse which is not climate controlled. The temperature will vary from cold to hot depending on the time of year. At times the Lead will be subject to dust, noise and moving vehicles. The operator is expected to work assigned shift hours (Days/Evenings/Nights) and overtime corresponding with their shift schedule. Due to seasonal business conditions, assigned shift hours may include 7 days/week and holidays as required by customer needs. Physical Requirements Warehouse positions require frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling and occasional bending/stooping. Assigned work requires lifting of parts/inventory ranging from 5-20 lbs. frequently, 30-50 lbs. occasionally and up to 70 lbs. infrequently.. Direct Reports This position does supervise other employees. Candidate selected to the above position will be given a 90 day probationary period. If the candidate is unable to fulfill their duties, he/she will be reinstated to their previous position, w/previous pay, is still available. Team Leader Basic Requirements: Minimum of 2 years as SMP, Inc. warehouse employee; will consider employees with 3-5 years prior leadership experience.
