Qualifications & What we are looking for in you … Experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with experience in assisting in 4-handed dentistry as a chairside assistant. Prior experience with assisting during implant placement & restorations, a plus! 5+ years of experience supporting a multi-doctor, high performing practice. Certified Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, required. Xray certification required & coronal polishing, required. Roles & Responsibilities Assist the dentist with complex dental procedures, predicting their needs & providing support throughout the appointment. Update and maintain client’s dental records including clinical notes, lab orders, and chart preparation. Help control overhead by sensible use of time & materials. Ability to lift & move a minimum of 35 lbs. Experience with digital charting and electronic medical records. Educate and inform patients of the treatment doctor has diagnosed, supporting them through their entire treatment plan & answering their questions. Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene to help them stay healthy. Comply to all OSHA and HIPAA standards including sterilization procedures. Take and process impressions, X-rays & digital photos for patients. Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, supplies, and labs.
