Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative packaging solutions aligned with product requirements and sustainability objectives.
- Optimize packaging designs to improve quality and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers to explore creative, cost-effective packaging alternatives.
- Establish quality standards for suppliers and assist with audits.
- Provide training on packaging processes to relevant personnel.
- Participate in commissioning new packaging equipment and improvements.
- Create documentation for packaging design, testing, and validation processes.
- Apply ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 methodologies in project execution.
- Manage project timelines and resources to meet growth objectives.
- Conduct packaging tests and validations according to industry standards.
- Support justifications for capital expenditures related to packaging enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least three years of relevant industry experience.
- Familiarity with ISTA, ANSI, and ISO test methods highly desirable.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes in various sectors such as corrugate and injection molding preferred.
- Proficient in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong capability with 3D modeling software.
- Willingness to travel to Lincoln subsidiaries and suppliers.
- Proficient in MS Office tools, experience with SAP is a plus.
- Ability to engage in hands-on work within a manufacturing environment.
