nThe successful candidate is responsible for the programming, support and new development.
nThe Role
nAmphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking aMetrology Engineerto work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Mesa, AZ.
nThe key responsibilities of aMetrology Engineerinclude, but are not limited to:

Develop and implement AOI and CMM programs specific to measurements needed for product acceptance
n n - n
Document and maintain measurement work instructions for operators using this equipment
n n - n
Seek contemporary expansion of technology/equipment for improved metrology
n n - n
Obtain regular professional training relative to programming packages for current software packages
n n - n
Owns the MSA portion of APQP (Advance Product Quality Plan)
n n - n
Coordinates with process and supervision for the acceptance of new CNCs and the bi-yearly capability studies that are conducted on them

Validate process improvements as required by Engineering and Process

The Person
nThe key skills and qualities of aMetrology Engineerat Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

- n
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree
n n - n
At least 3 years manufacturing experience working in metrology environment
n n - n
Experience with: Nikon measurement microscope, Keyence, Mitutoyo CMM/Optical System with vision pack software preferred
n n - n
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Minitab
n n - n
Comfortable with GD&T / Blueprint interpretation
n n - n
3D modeling software experience: Creo/Pro-E preferred
n n - n
Minitab, Microsoft Office, 5S, 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
n n - n
Strong written and oral communication skills
n n - n
Competencies of data structures
n n - n
Calibration Lab Management, ISO/IEC 17025, Z540, etc.
