Pay Rate Range: $53.08 - $59.15

Responsibilities :

n
    n
  • n

    Researches, plans, analyzes, designs, and develops mechanical products such as ammunition handling systems, structures, gun systems, missile launchers, mechanisms, and other devices.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Performs technical analysis, testing, and evaluation of moderately complex engineering problems using specialized equipment and computer programs.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Analyzes and interprets design specifications, drawings, documents, models, and test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Develops and writes technical documentation, makes revisions to existing documentation, and provides input to technical papers or presentations.

    n
  • n
  • n

    May deliver technical presentations related to production support activities.

  • n
  • n

    Create & maintain product parts, assemblies & drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 9.0 modeling software.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Performs complex engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, testing, and product assurance tasks of limited complexity for assigned portions of a project.

  • n
  • n

    Solves moderately complex engineering problems that have not been clearly defined and may not have similar precedents available.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ensures tasks meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance requirements.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Applies a wide range of engineering design and analytical theory, principles, techniques, and practices to a complex portion of a technical project.

  • n
  • n

    Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Acquires and maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant engineering disciplines, industry practices, trends, and applications.

  • n

    Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety policies and rules.

    Provides input to project leaders for the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Basic Hiring Criteria :

n
    n
  • n

    Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a Master's degree and 2 years' experience.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Minimum 4 years of work experience in a relevant work environment.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Must have working knowledge of creating moderately complex solid models and mechanical designs using CAD systems, preferably PTC Pro-E or CREO.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems that require a professional level of engineering knowledge.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience working with internal or external shops to manufacture designs.

    n
  • n
n

Desired Qualifications :

    n
  • n

    Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience in a military product production environment.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience in developing precision assembly tooling.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Good working knowledge of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5 (2009 or 2018)).

    n
  • n
  • n

    Good working knowledge of Tolerance Stack Analysis, 2+ years of experience with Creo modeling and drawing generation.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience with EPDM system, preferably Windchill.

    n
  • n
n
