Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager responsible for ensuring legal compliance along with the safety, health, and environmental integrity of the North American operations. You will oversee the EHS, Regulatory, and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality and financial objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities

  • Direct activities of the EH&S and Compliance team, ensuring operational legal compliance and addressing health and safety hazards.
  • Develop and manage EH&S programs, including safety assessments, ergonomic assessments, and hazardous chemical management.
  • Collaborate with management to implement strategies for technical, schedule, quality, and financial EH&S objectives.
  • Ensure completion and compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements including EPA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Manage safety training programs, safety walks, and support worker's compensation claims.
  • Lead initiatives for waste reduction and maintain compliance to ISO 14001 and OSHA standards.
  • Ensure strategic planning and continuous improvement of the environmental impact of the organization.
  • Travel approximately 30% of the time, primarily within North America.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science; Master's preferred.
  • CSP Designation and OSHA Certification required.
Experience
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience with at least 5 years of leading teams in an operational environment.
  • Experience with combustible/explosive materials and powder coatings preferred.
Skills
  • Technical proficiency in SAP, Smart Search, Microsoft software.
  • Strong organizational, planning, budgeting, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate workplace hazards and manage industrial EHS programs.
Additional Requirements
  • Travel as required (approximately 30% of the time).
  • Adaptability to perform under stress and maintain confidentiality.
