n2is responsible formaintainingand setting up food production and quality control of all meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, seasoning and all other food items prepared in the different kitchen stations.
nIf you have a minimum of 5 years of cooking experience and open availability, this may be the role for you! Hotel, banquet, and fine dining experience is a plus!
nWhat will I be doing?
nPrepares all food items according to standard recipes and/or as specified on guest check to ensure consistency of product to the guest.
nVisually inspects,selectsand uses only food items ideal cooking, in preparation of all menu items.
nChecks and controls the proper storage of, monitoring age and condition of all food items to rotate andmaintainhighest quality.
nKeeps all refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free,complying withHealth department regulations.
nPrepares daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production.
nReads and employs math skills to follow recipes.
nMaintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times.
nManage guest orders in a friendly,timelyand efficient manner.
nEnsure knowledge of menu and food products.
nStock andmaintaindesignated food stations(s).
nVisually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
nPractice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
nThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
nGood working knowledge of the fundamentals of the broiler, sauté, fry, roast, moistheatand other cooking methods.
nGood working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation.
nKnowledge ofoperatingall kitchen equipment, i.e., stoves, ovens, broilers, steamers, kettles, etc.
nBasic mathematical skillsare necessaryto understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts andportionsizes.
nAbility to read, write,speakand understand the English languagein order tocomplete requisitions read recipes and communicates with other team members.
nAbility to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 50 lbs. ona continuousschedule.
nAbility to stand and to work continuously in confined spaces.
nAbility to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
nThe hourly rate for thison-callposition is between$28.22- $31.35.
