As an Information Systems Programmer and Analyst with an emerging technology / artificial intelligence (AI) focus, you are a key member of the team responsible for ensuring the trustworthy, safe, and effective usage of AI systems across the County.

We are looking for someone who is:

Aware of the challenges associated with artificial intelligence implementations within local government organizations Comfortable working with a wide range of organizational stakeholders to develop and implement standards and procedures Ready to guide the organizations approach to risk assessments and mitigations for AI systems Experienced with machine learning and artificial intelligence Possesses a strong understanding of AI application implementations in business contexts, with expertise in data governance management What you will typically be responsible for:

Education: Possession of a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in computer science or information processing or closely related field.

Experience:

Three (3) years of full-time or its equivalent experience performing software applications programming or systems analysis.

Substitution for Education: Additional-qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of four (4) years.

Desirable Qualifications: Training in machine learning and artificial intelligence Experience working with GovAI standards and other federal/state/local machine learning / artificial intelligence initiatives Information security experience within a large organization Software engineering experience within a large organization

Candidates will be required to complete a training and experience questionnaire at the time of filing. The responses to the training and experience questions on the supplemental questionnaire will be used to evaluate candidates relevant education, training and/or experience as it relates to the Information Systems Programmer and Analyst III classification.
