Hiring Range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will consider skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.

Pay Range is the entire compensation range for the position.

The Pima County Attorney's Office is hiring for three Victim Advocate positions in the units of Domestic Violence Court, Juvenile, and Felony Victim Advocate. The role involves establishing communication with victims and witnesses, providing crisis intervention, advising on statutory rights, keeping victims informed, providing referrals, and serving as a liaison with the County Attorney's Office.

Essential Functions

Respond to law enforcement and concerned parties for crisis intervention services.

Assist clients with immediate needs like safety, medical care, legal services, food, transportation, clothing, and shelter; refer to community resources.

Conduct crisis interventions with children and educate parents/caregivers.

Inform victims and witnesses about their rights and criminal justice procedures; facilitate communication with agencies.

Maintain contact and support victims/witnesses, accompany them to court, and serve as a liaison with attorneys.

Assist with applying for victim compensation.

Document services, contacts, and referrals.

Provide training to volunteers, law enforcement, and social agencies on victim issues.

Support and advise volunteers during off-hours; coordinate volunteer efforts.

Maintain confidentiality and develop relationships with county and external agency staff.

Participate in meetings and training.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social/behavioral sciences, criminal justice, public administration, or related field.

One year of experience in the relevant area or related field. Experience in the Pima County Victim Witness Volunteer Program (minimum 240 hours) satisfies this requirement.
