Account Manager to join the Intellectual Property team at Clarivate. In this role, you will
effectively manage an
existing list of accounts to achieve retention
and growth, while also pursuing
new business within a specific geographic region
. This is

energetic Account Manager
who enjoys engaging in the hunt and not solely on the harvest
for the Intellectual Property (IP) business
. Specifically, this role supports the patent market,
offering solutions such as Patent annuities, IPMS (IPFolio, Foundation IP, TIPMS), IPAdmin services, Translation services, Patent drafting software (Rowan Patents), and other related solutions. About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments... Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience related to the job
5+ years of sales experience
2+ years of experience using Microsoft suite and Salesforce for client and opportunity management
Experience in Intellectual Property services and solutions
It would be great if you also had... Sales, account management, and presentation skills
Well organized, persistent, and motivated to overachieve against targets
Understanding of solution selling and experience selling on 'value' vs price
A self-starter who takes initiative and generates ideas for new business growth
Experience in Intellectual Property services and solutions is a significant benefit
What will you be doing in this role? Achieving/exceeding sales targets and expanding business in the region/market
Forecasting and managing Salesforce pipeline with regular communication to management
Working efficiently with customers and following Clarivate's sales cycle in Salesforce
Continuously learning about Clarivate and competitor products
Participating in team meetings and sharing knowledge
Maintaining meeting volumes as defined by Sales Management
Creating and updating account profiles, quotes, and deals in Salesforce
Building trust with core accounts and expanding contact base
About the Team Reporting into the sales organization, this quota-carrying role involves a team of 7 members focused on clients using our patent products. The team operates independently but collaborates to achieve a $6M+ annual sales target. You will have the freedom to think creatively and work with colleagues across functions. Hours of Work Full-time, Permanent
Remote position supporting the Western Great Lakes Region (home base in Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul, or Detroit preferred; candidates with experience and ability to travel to the region encouraged)
Up to 40% travel required (Conferences, client meetings, annual sales meetings)
Compensation - US Only The expected base salary is $84,000 - $120,000 USD per year. This role is eligible for sales incentives. Pay depends on experience, education, skills, and other relevant factors.
