Job Summary and Qualifications The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care by overseeing the daily operations of the unit. They monitor and evaluate nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, holding staff accountable for clinical outcomes. Develop a superior clinical reputation by implementing evidence-based practices that enhance patient safety and care quality. Work to reduce variability in clinical practice for improved efficiency and effectiveness. Support the achievement of benchmarks, accreditations, and designations. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Manage patient admissions and discharge processes for effective throughput and care. Facilitate interdisciplinary care coordination and ensure staff competencies meet patient care needs. Lead efforts to create exceptional patient experiences and improve satisfaction rates. Identify employee development opportunities and provide coaching and training. Manage staff scheduling based on patient care requirements and productivity guidelines. Control operating expenses and identify cost-saving measures. Qualifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation certification must be completed within 6 months of hire. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Completion of a Registered Nurse diploma program.
