We're looking for a motivated individual who is eager to take their career in Human Resources to the next level. You will lead the HR division, setting strategy and driving execution across talent acquisition, employee experience, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. You’ll serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, strengthening company culture and scaling HR infrastructure as the organization grows. Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit: This is the perfect position for someone currently working in Human Resources at a large firm and has developed a strong understanding of best practices, policies, procedures and programs for a world class HR department, but who feels like their creative capabilities and decision-making abilities are constrained due to the nature of operating within a large firm structure. Given the international scope of our business, this role will play a key part in leading HR initiatives and supporting employee populations across global markets. Experience working in non-U.S. jurisdictions or in a multinational environment is strongly preferred. Role/Job Description: Partner with senior management to design and execute HR strategy that aligns with business objectives Build and lead the HR team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance oversight Lead organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, and change management initiatives Oversee day-to-day HR operations and compliance in partnership with our PEO, including benefits, payroll, reporting, and policy enforcement Oversee all recruitment activities, ensuring that we are attracting and retaining top talent Develop, maintain, and regularly update HR policies, employee handbooks, and processes in alignment with legal requirements and company values. Implement performance review systems, calibration processes, and leadership development programs Implement, leverage and optimize HR technology platforms (ATS, HRIS, performance management systems) to enable a scaling organization Collaborate with external and internal legal counsel on all immigration-related matters, including sponsorship, visa applications, compliance monitoring, and communication with employees Foster a strong organizational culture with inclusive programs, engagement initiatives, and culture-building events Act as a trusted advisor for employee relations and conflict resolution Streamline workflows and implement scalable HR systems and processes Lead and continually enhance the employee experience across the full lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding to development, retention, and offboarding Help shape and enhance a positive and motivating workplace culture in which employees feel valued as important contributors to the overall success of Nearwater Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employee career development, retention programs, engagement, training and development Lead employee communications including implementing a firm intranet site Partner closely with firm managers to provide support and leadership coaching. Manage semi-annual review process and career pathing alongside department leaders Ensure legal and regulatory compliance on all employee matters in partnership with Nearwater’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior/Performance, Organizational Psychology, Leadership and Management), Labor and Employment/Industrial Relations or equivalent experience in human resources or management 10+ years' of professional HR experience, ideally in a financial services company Prior experience working across non-U.S. markets or in a multinational environment is a plus. Experience building HR infrastructure in high-growth or technology environment Experience using HR analytics and data visualization to drive strategic decision-making and measure culture / engagement metrics Demonstrated ability to maintain strong company culture while implementing technology solutions that support rapid organizational scaling Deep expertise in HR domains: talent management, benefits, performance, compliance Knowledge of Federal and State regulations that affect benefits, recruitment, and employee relations (i.e. FMLA, ADA, FLSA and more). Excellent communication and coaching ability—capable of advising senior leadership High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to foster trust Adaptable mindset with a track record of driving change in fast-paced settings Experience maintaining compliance with complex regulatory environments Hands-on leadership in developing and mentoring HR teams Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) at all organizational levels Ability to work independently and in a team environment Possesses resiliency to work in a challenging and changing, high volume, fast-paced environment Commitment to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact, discretion, and integrity Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) at all organizational levels Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and time management skills What’s in It for You: Nearwater offers an attractive market compensation and benefits package including, health, dental & vision benefits, life insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and a 401(k) plan.
