$1,000 JOB SUMMARY We are looking for a dedicated Part-Time CDL Driver to play a crucial role in delivering and picking up containers to and from commercial locations. Your commitment to safety and customer service will ensure effective, incident-free operations and contribute to our excellent relationship with customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism for loading and unloading containers. Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift. Adapt to business needs by accepting add-on deliveries when required. Utilize a company-issued handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation. Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane as needed. Ensure containers are clean and presentable for delivery to customers. Assist with customer coordination for rental paperwork and payment. Communicate effectively with your Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries and prepare any necessary driver notes. Perform minor repairs on containers and lifts both in the field and at the storage center. Provide back-up support for storage center operations when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized truck cab, both inside and out. Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned. MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position reports to Management, and direct supervisors may include the Market Manager or Territory Manager. You will not be responsible for managing other employees, including hiring or performance management. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction. Current and valid driver license required. Must comply with PODS Driver Qualification Standards. Minimum age of 21 years, in accordance with insurance requirements. Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or the ability to obtain a minimum of one-year certification as per DOT requirements. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred. Basic math skills necessary for the role. Combination of education, training, or experience will be considered. Must be available to attend a required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
