Division info: The Landing Gear Market specializes in designing, qualifying, manufacturing, and repairing landing gears and critical flight components for OEMs and operators in both commercial and military sectors. Summary of position: We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The role involves programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components, requiring proficiency in CAD/CAM software, tooling, and machining processes. The candidate will collaborate with engineers and production staff to meet specifications and ensure smooth production runs. Main responsibilities: Develop and maintain CNC programs and documentation based on engineering drawings and specifications. Investigate and resolve manufacturing problems, implementing corrective actions. Troubleshoot manufacturing processes. Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering on manufacturing methods and fixturing. Assess tooling needs, initiate tooling purchases, and test new tools. Prepare solid models or geometries for tool paths, plan machining processes, and program tool paths. Prepare and distribute program packages, including tool lists and setup sheets. Verify tool paths using Vericut software and conduct tape proves on machines. Convert programs for different machining centers as needed. Manage program change requests and revisions. Archive completed program packages. Perform other duties as assigned, including continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Post-secondary technical diploma, certificate, or degree. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CNC programmer with multi-axis applications or at least 5 years’ CNC machine operation experience, preferably in aerospace. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, computer literacy (Office, Catia V5, Vericut, Microsoft Project). Good scheduling and planning abilities. Quick learner and adaptable to new situations. High attention to detail. Understanding of AS9100 standards and their impact on work. Shop floor machinist experience is an asset.
