About the Role: This role will lead a program within the GDLS Air Defense portfolio to deliver world-class capability to the warfighter and pursue opportunities to expand business within Air Defense.

What to Expect with this role:

Lead a program within the GDLS Air Defense portfolio to deliver world-class capability and pursue new business opportunities by understanding and aligning with customer needs.

People Leader Responsibilities:

Manage a team responsible for delivering the program on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards by organizing, coordinating, and directing activities for high complexity programs.

Define strategies and objectives to successfully deliver the program, considering strategic goals and contractual requirements.

Manage project scope, document and approve changes, review proposals, contracts, and modifications to ensure scope and margins are maintained.

Develop and implement proactive risk management plans, identify resource gaps, and review risks during planning and execution.

Ensure effective communication within the program team and with stakeholders, lead planning, and resolve conflicts.

Measure and improve program performance through regular reviews and efficient methods.

Maintain superior customer relationships and work within budgets to establish ROMs and pricing.

Identify and qualify new business opportunities, develop capture strategies, lead cross-functional teams, and conduct customer engagements, competitive analysis, and proposal development.

Qualifications Sought:

Experience in DoD and Defense industry; Air Defense experience preferred.

Proven program management experience leading teams through proposal and execution lifecycle.

Knowledge of full lifecycle of capture efforts, including opportunity identification, RFP assessment, teaming, negotiations, and proposals.

Experience coaching, mentoring staff, mediating conflicts, and bringing a global view to the Program Management Office.

Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field; experience may substitute.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, exposure to Oracle Applications, Teamcenter, TIPQA.

Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Support program control in planning, budgeting, and execution.

Strategic thinking skills.

Additional Information / Desired Experience:

This position requires eligibility for a US security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible.

Ability to bring continuous improvement processes, strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Works well individually and in teams.

Availability for evening and weekend overtime as needed.
