As a

Vice President, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Management , you will report to the CIO and play a critical role in ensuring today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. This role will support executive internal stakeholders by leading IT strategies and overseeing all AI and Data Management related applications, including development, support, and maintenance.

How a Vice President, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML), Data Management Will Make an Impact:

Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Data Scientists, AI & ML Engineers, and Analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning while delivering high-impact solutions.

Provide hands-on experience with AI & ML development and deployment.

Manage oversight, outreach initiatives, and internal communications related to AI, ML, and Data.

Lead internal enterprise communications on AI, ML, and Data matters through presentations and other outlets.

Develop and implement a comprehensive AI & ML and Data strategy aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.

Support all GDIT AI & ML and Data commitments through policies, procedures, and protocols in collaboration with GDIT and other Business Units.

Test and validate machine learning models using various methodologies and metrics for deployment.

Provide technical expertise in AI & ML algorithms, data modeling, data engineering, and data governance, supporting deployment across domains like natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics.

Monitor AI & ML performance to achieve organizational goals.

Evaluate emerging AI, ML, and data management and analytics technologies.

Identify risks related to data integrity, security, and compliance, implementing mitigation strategies.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI & ML, data management, and analytics, championing their adoption.

Design and implement scalable data architecture and infrastructure solutions leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure - Government High Space) and big data technologies.

Oversee development of machine learning systems, including designing algorithms, creating data pipelines, and deploying models.

Collaborate with IT service owners, stakeholders, and PMO to support AI & ML and Data projects from inception to delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget.

Provide oversight and expertise on government and industry audits related to AI, ML, and Data.

Coordinate outreach efforts, including resource allocation and budget management.

Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.

Research and review external materials to stay informed on AI legislation, government, and customer directions, providing strategic advice.

Conduct and oversee training on AI, ML, and Data reporting, tools, and processes.

Participate in business activities, including responding to RFIs and RFPs.

Ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards.

Implement risk and compliance procedures to meet company standards.

Ensure the reliability, adequacy, and cost-effectiveness of technology platforms and applications.

Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver AI & ML solutions aligned with project scope, quality, budget, and schedule.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in data management, analytics, AI, or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.

Experience:

5+ years in AI & ML, Data Management, with a proven track record; 10+ years in solution architecture and programming, with significant Azure experience.

Technical Skills:

Data visualization (Tableau, Power BI), BI platforms, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), programming (Python, R, Scala, Java), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Security Clearance:

None required.

Location:

Hybrid, willing to work in Falls Church three or more days per week.
