Purpose of this role The purpose of this role is to be a Hands-On Commercial Architecture Director, who helps to achieve our becoming an efficient Commercially operating organization. All with our focus on our upcoming Hunting Disease gene therapy launch.
This role will safeguard our defined architecture and will help hands-on wherever needed to achieve the goals of the IT team and the commercial organization to achieve our commercial objectives. Besides the architecture elements of the role, the role in addition has an IT Business management aspect, to ensure our stakeholders in the organization are aligned with uniQure Architecture, the IT projects, Cyber Security and overall IT Operations. And in addition, being part of Global IT and the Global IT Management Team, you will take care of several global IT responsibilities, such as project portfolio reporting, some project execution, liaison for all our external websites, and representing our Cyber Security and IT Compliance stance to the rest of the organization.
Place in the Organization The Director, Commercial Architecture works closely with the IT MT peers, Manager Applications, Implementation Manager, Data Platform Owner and our Head of Architecture, Cyber Security and Compliance. This role also aligns frequently with the Application and Data engineers supporting our Commercial colleagues. This position reports into the VP Global head Digital Transformation (Head of IT). And you will be part of the IT Management Team. Responsible for: • Point of Contact for IT for the Commercial Organization. • Representing and safeguarding the IT Architecture for the commercial processes and aligning with the commercial organization (sales, medical, Marketing, market access, patient services, customer supply chain, sales, FP&A) • Ensuring detailed knowledge of our processes for the commercial organization (patient journey, product flow and dollar flow). • Managing IT Demand. Properly manage business back in case of insufficient business case or when we have a capability already in house. And safeguard our IT’s capacity from an overload of IT demand. • Solution Architect for the commercial applications and integrations – contribute to detailed design, or solutioning to get certain difficult solutions in place. • Liaison for all our websites, being the point of contact for the entire organization with respect to our website and be the manager of our partner who develops and maintains our websites. • Manage and execute (hands on) some small projects – when needed. • Overall Global IT – project portfolio reporting – following up with project managers or colleagues leading project, to ensure we have bi-weekly project updates and a portfolio overview. • Ensure LeanIX (Enterprise Architecture) platform is up to date – in conjunction with Solution Architect in NL. • Represent Architecture, Cyber Security and IT Compliance across the entire organization & understand, know and be able to teach colleagues about it. Skills & Experience Required • Architecture position experience • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business systems application management • Clear evidence of being able to effectively manage diverse computer systems and integrations • Experience in an international organization • Experience with CRM Business Application implementation • Experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry • Overall, 12 years’ experience at the minimum • Stakeholder management • Project Management skills • IT Business partner experience • Website management – including Analytics / performance • IT General Controls (SoX) • Experience managing SoX and/or GxP compliant systems Seniority level
