These positions are located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of the Chief Information Officer, in Washington, District of Columbia. Duties As an Information Technology Specialist (InfoSec), at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Define the scope and level of detail for security plans and policies applicable to the security program. Lead implementation activities for projects. Assess new systems design methodologies to improve software quality. Resolve integration issues related to the implementation of new systems with the existing infrastructure. Review proposed new systems, network, or software designs for potential security risks. IT-related experience demonstrating the competencies of Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving. Examples of demonstration include meticulous review of IT data, assessing IT needs, effective communication of technical information, and identifying IT problems using technical sources. Specialized Experience At least 1 year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level performing duties such as applying new IT security developments, applying project management principles, processing engineering concepts, and supporting infrastructure implementation. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date and are subject to verification.
