Job Title: Financial Analyst – Assessment Support and Corrective Action Planning Clearance Level: Top Secret SCI (or ability to obtain and maintain) We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to support internal control assessments and corrective action planning for the customer. The role requires expertise in internal control matters, the ability to deliver measurable outcomes aligned with goals, and a commitment to providing high-quality, timely solutions to government stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Assessment Support:

Conduct baseline and needs assessments, document current internal control efforts, design performance metrics, and identify improvement areas, including data management software solutions. Develop Internal Control Execution Plans with qualitative and quantitative metrics for financial and non-financial operations, ensuring compliance with required compliance frameworks. Prepare internal control assessment documentation to support planning, control identification, and testing results. Perform internal control assessments for activity-level and entity-level controls through business process walkthroughs, documenting narratives and flowcharts, and evaluating design and operational effectiveness. Conduct control testing to validate management’s assessments, ensure compliance with information processing objectives, mitigate financial misstatement risks, and support operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Evaluate, classify, and aggregate internal control deficiencies (material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, or control deficiencies) based on their significance and impact. Support reporting requirements to and oversight committees. Evaluate external assessment results for service providers and their impact on the control environment. Brief internal control assessment conclusions to process owners and management.

Corrective Action Planning:

Develop Mission Action Plans to address material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, and control deficiencies, adhering to the existing guide. Plans will cover control deficiency identification, issue descriptions, financial and management control assertions, mission links, root causes, key strategies, performance measures, resource needs, verification and validation, risks, impediments, dependencies, milestones, and status. Recommend remediation activities and provide resources to process owners under government supervision. Provide remediation administrative support, including tracking daily activities, action items from meetings, and status reports to monitor task progress.

General Duties:

Analyze complex problems, consider alternative courses of action, and recommend defensible, beneficial solutions to advance internal control objectives. Respond to government inquiries within expected timeframes, delivering insightful, high-quality products. Communicate openly and constructively with engagement team members and government stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in Accounting or Management, or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. 4+ years of demonstrated subject matter expertise in internal control matters. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SCI clearance. Preferred Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop defensible solutions to complex problems. Proven ability to design and implement corrective action plans in a government or regulated environment.
