Job Description
Commercial Construction Contractor seeking an experienced senior project manager within the DFW metro area. Opportunity for a commercial construction manager in metal stud framing, drywall, ceilings, and specialized scopes of work. Building sectors include: public schools, shopping centers, restaurants, commercial tenant finish-outs, and retail projects. This position is located in our Plano office.
Job Summary:
Senior Project Managers are responsible for the complete management of projects. This includes electronic take-off of plans, compiling complete cost estimates, bid tabulation forms, financial management of projects, project buy-out, quality assurance, budget, contract management, ASI/Change Order management, and other activities required to successfully complete awarded jobs. Candidates need to meet the following criteria: Minimum 5 years of commercial construction estimating or project management experience Proficient in current estimating techniques and automation Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines Excellent communication skills - oral, written, and via emails Strong negotiation skills Knowledge of vendor companies in various areas and ability to locate/develop new vendors Ability to read and understand drawings Minimum computer skills needed — Excel, Word, Outlook, Drop Box, Smartsheets, Blue Beam, Construction Connect, Raken, etc. (experience with On Screen Take-Off/Quick Bid software is preferred) Must provide at least 3 job-related references Company Benefits:
