“hands-on”
Head of Finance to lead and build the finance function. You’ll be responsible for managing all core financial operations across accounting, forecasting, analysis, cash flow, compliance, and vendor/customer finance relationships. The ideal candidate
will be smart, detail orientated, a master of Excel / QuickBooks and have lots of experience managing cash flow. Responsibilities Own and manage all day-to-day finance and accounting functions: A/P, A/R, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and taxes Maintain and improve daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow processes, ensuring timely collections and payments Lead monthly forecasting and budgeting processes Prepare accurate, timely monthly financial statements and management reporting packages Run payroll and employee expense processes efficiently and accurately Support and manage external tax and accounting service providers to ensure timely filings Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership decision-making Identify and implement process improvements and scalable systems as the company grows Hire and manage future finance team members as the company scales Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally in high-growth or tech environments Public Accounting experience a plus Experience owning and building FP&A models from scratch Scaled a start up technology company Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP Excellent communication skills across teams, leadership, and external vendors Seniority level
