Role Summary:
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key customers and end users. Your role involves understanding customer requirements, identifying market trends, and supporting strategic agreements and alliances. You will play a crucial part in promoting Flowserve’s solutions by leveraging both internal resources and external sales channel partners. Success in this role depends on close collaboration with our Authorized Channel Partner in the region, as well as strong internal coordination across departments.
Responsibilities:
Drive booking levels to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
Maintain regular, proactive communication with key customers in your designated area.
Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with regional sales objectives, especially promoting Aftermarket Repair & Services (AMR&S) and mQRC offerings.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer needs, addressing issues related to proposals, deliveries, repairs, quality, and warranty claims.
Educate customers on product features, benefits, and applications using available marketing tools and resources.
Collaborate with application engineers, customer service teams, and manufacturing to ensure seamless support and delivery.
Maintain organized records including reports, quotations, opportunity status, and expense tracking.
Demonstrate sound financial acumen when discussing return on investment and total cost of ownership with clients.
Work independently and productively in a fast-paced environment.
Perform site visits, including walking large customer facilities, lifting up to 50 lbs, and navigating multi-level industrial environments.
Carry out other duties as required.
Requirements: Skilled in product demonstrations, technical presentations, and business writing.
Ability to travel as needed and support customer site visits.
Comfortable with physical activity required for industrial site inspections.
Sales experience in control valves, rotating equipment (e.g., pumps), and other valve types.
Industry exposure in oil & gas, power generation, mining, or chemical sectors, with emphasis on Aftermarket services.
Formal training in sales methodologies, negotiation, and financial analysis.
Experience in leading customer meetings, including agenda planning, facilitation, and follow-ups.
Ability to lead root cause failure analysis and effectively communicate technical findings.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Preferred Experience / Skills: Excellent communication skills.
Relevant experience in a similar technical sales role.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
