Senior Network Engineer (6+ yrs exp)
to support a high-impact staff augmentation project with Fairfax County, Virginia. This position is conditional upon contract award expected in September / October 2025. Rsum of successful candidate(s) will be included with our proposal. The requirements are as follows: Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, VPN, SD-WAN / WAN / MAN / SDN); Configure and install (physical and VM based) software, servers, routers, firewalls, and other network devices; Monitor network performance and integrity; Tier 3 Support - Resolve issues escalated by support tiers through troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure; Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness; Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, etc.; Solid background in network administration and architecture in wired and wireless enterprise infrastructure leveraging MPLS, VLAN, VRFs, and VxLAN; In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF); Familiarity with access control models and network security; Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Perl; Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk); Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS); Strong troubleshooting skills; Ability to work independently or within a team. Preferred hardware and software expertise includes Cisco routers and switches (ASR, Nexus, Catalyst), Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, Mist, Palo Alto security products, F5 Viprion load balancers, VM NSX-T, AVI Loadbalancer, InfoBlox IPAM, DNS, DHCP, and SolarWinds NPM. #J-18808-Ljbffr
