Job Overview
The VP of Brand and Communications is an executive responsible for shaping and executing AltaMed’s communications and brand strategy to enhance visibility, trust, and engagement with stakeholders, including patients, employees, partners, funders, media, and the community. Reporting to the EVP, Chief Administrative Officer, this leader ensures that communications reflect AltaMed's mission, values, and commitment to equity and impact. This role oversees all brand and communications initiatives, including marketing campaigns, community relations, public affairs, employee communications, and product launches. The VP leads departments such as Strategic Communications, Branding, Public Affairs, Issues Management, Crisis Communications, Executive Thought Leadership, and Digital & Social Media. The goal is to unify and elevate AltaMed’s external presence and internal culture through storytelling, messaging, and proactive brand management across platforms. Education and Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in branding, journalism, communications, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior management, in-house or agency. At least 5 years’ experience in planning, writing, editing, and producing newsletters, press releases, reports, branding materials, etc. Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching communications teams including videographers and designers. Compensation
