The VP of Brand and Communications is an executive leader responsible for shaping and executing AltaMed's enterprise communications and brand strategy to enhance visibility, trust, and engagement across all stakeholders including patients, employees, partners, funders, media, and the broader community. Reporting to the EVP, Chief Administrative Officer, this individual serves on the executive team as a steward of the organization's voice, ensuring that communications reflect AltaMed's mission, values, and commitment to equity and impact. This dynamic and strategic leader creates the umbrella for all brand and communications initiatives, enhancing marketing and sales campaigns, community relations and public affairs, employee communications, and new product and service launches. The VP, Brand and Communications leads cross-functional departments including external and internal Strategic Communications, Branding, Public Affairs, Issues Management and Crisis Communications, Executive Thought Leadership and Digital and Social Media. This executive is charged with unifying and elevating AltaMed's external presence and internal culture through innovative storytelling, strategic messaging, and proactive brand management across all platforms. Education and Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree in branding, journalism, communications, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior management role, either in-house or with an agency. A minimum of five years' experience in planning, writing, editing, and production of newsletters, press releases, annual reports, branding literature, and other print publications and directories. Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications, branding, videographers, and graphic design specialists. Compensation $233,263.06 - $291,578.83 annually Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change.
