Contract Product Manager (Borrower Portal)
.
This Contract role will play an integral part of our existing team. We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Product Manager to lead the vision, roadmap, and execution of our Borrower Portal. This role will work closely with the Head of Technology and Innovation and collaborate with business stakeholders, UX designers, and technical teams to deliver new capabilities, improve customer experience, and support business growth. The ideal candidate will have experience building digital solutions for mortgage or financial services, with a focus on consumer-facing or partner-facing portals. Job responsibilities include but not limited to: Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Borrower Portal, aligning with company goals and customer needs. Lead business analysis, requirements gathering, and solution definition in collaboration with technology and business teams. Translate complex business requirements into detailed user stories, workflows, and technical specifications. Work closely with designers, developers, and QA to deliver high-quality features through iterative development cycles. Coordinate cross-functional input from servicing, operations, compliance, and marketing. Define KPIs and success metrics; monitor adoption and engagement to guide continuous improvement. Facilitate UAT and feedback loops with internal users and customer support teams. Champion the voice of the borrower and partner users throughout the development lifecycle. Ensure integration with systems such as the Loan Origination System (LOS), Salesforce, and document management platforms. Support project planning, status reporting, and executive updates. Qualifications: Qualifications Required: 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Business Analyst, or equivalent in a technology or digital team. Experience working in the mortgage, lending, or financial services industry. Strong background in building and managing digital portals for consumers or partners. Proven ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications. Strong collaboration skills across business and technical teams. Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira, Aha!, or Azure DevOps. Preferred / Nice to Have: Familiarity with borrower engagement tools, CRM systems, and self-service platforms. Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and responsive web applications. Experience with reverse mortgage or home equity products. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Soft Skills Strong communication and presentation skills. Analytical and detail-oriented approach to solving complex problems. Customer-focused mindset with a passion for improving user experience. Organized, self-motivated, and able to drive initiatives to completion.
