The Opportunity
At Kandji, we believe design systems and component libraries are foundational for creating consistent, accessible, and scalable experiences. As a Staff Software Engineer, Design Systems, you will help align design and development, building world-class product experiences.
We seek a front-end engineer passionate about building robust, responsive, and reusable UI components using modern frameworks, with a keen eye for detail and user experience.
How You’ll Make a Difference Day to Day:
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to develop a scalable, user-friendly design system.
Create high-quality, reusable front-end components consistent with the design system.
Contribute to the evolution of our design system through component creation, documentation, and standard alignment.
Lead tools and process development for design-to-development handoff and design system adoption.
Ensure code quality via reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
Build visually consistent, performant, accessible, and scalable UIs.
Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues promptly.
Become a design system advocate, collaborating across teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
7+ years front-end experience with React, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
Experience maintaining component libraries supporting theming, localization, and customization.
Strong visual skills and ability to produce pixel-perfect UIs.
Experience translating Figma mockups into reusable components.
Agile team experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
Problem-solving skills for complex challenges.
Experience with performance optimization techniques.
Ability to influence cross-team decisions around the design system.
Must work onsite 5x/week in Miami (Coral Gables).
