Friday Job Summary: Aalis Management Consulting seeks an experienced

Senior Systems Analyst

to evaluate, optimize, and modernize enterprise-level systems supporting military personnel readiness, health affairs, and workforce management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in

systems analysis, requirements engineering, and process improvement

within DoD environments, with a focus on translating operational needs into technical solutions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct a comprehensive systems analysis of DoD personnel and readiness systems (e.g., DEERS, MHS Genesis, HR systems) to identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Develop detailed requirements documentation, including CONOPS, functional specifications, and system interface definitions. Lead business process reengineering efforts to align systems with DoD readiness objectives and DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) standards. Perform cost-benefit analysis and trade studies for system modernization initiatives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineers, data scientists, cybersecurity specialists) to ensure solutions meet operational requirements. Support system accreditation by ensuring compliance with RMF, NIST SP 800-series, and DISA STIGs. Develop and present technical briefings to senior leadership (SES/Flag Officer level). Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or a Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 8+ years of systems analysis experience, with at least 5 years in DoD/federal environments. Proven track record in requirements analysis, process mapping, and solution design. Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools (e.g., Sparx EA, IBM Rational). Strong knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle and MBSE principles. Proficiency in requirements management tools (DOORS, JIRA, or similar). Understanding of data integration and API architectures. Certifications (Preferred): INCOSE CSEP/ASEP DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE) ITIL v4 Foundation PMP or Agile certifications Aalis Management Consulting is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
