We are building a team to lead our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program (Propel) focused on streamlining and standardizing our business processes in work and asset management, supply chain, finance, and IT. We are re-implementing our SAP ECC system and migrating our entire SAP solution to SAP S/4HANA. Position Summary

The SAP Solution Architect, Chief, will manage the technical design of the SAP system, including dependencies and integration into broader application ecosystems and external party systems, aiming to deliver cost-effective solutions while maximizing service delivery and coworker satisfaction. This role is at the Director level, reserved for highly skilled technical leaders with deep domain experience in strategic areas. This position offers a hybrid work model, working from home and the Oakland General Office (OGO) three days a week or as business needs require. Reporting Relationship

The SAP Chief Solution Architect will report to the Senior Director - SAP. This is a high-level individual contributor role requiring influence over peers and key stakeholders. Job Responsibilities

Establish and manage the S/4 technical architecture, including review and approval processes for solution designs and developing metrics to assess architecture effectiveness. Lead S/4HANA solution architecture, technology selection, and develop guiding principles and patterns. Design S/4HANA technical solutions. Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines for SAP systems, including data solutions, integration, and D&A. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and develop the application architecture strategy and technology roadmap for SAP systems. Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to SAP infrastructure and S/4HANA, recommending enhancements as appropriate. Evaluate, select, and implement SAP and non-SAP applications in collaboration with vendors and third-party service providers. Develop integration strategies and oversee middleware implementation, with knowledge of tools like MuleSoft. Leadership Qualities

Minimum: BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent experience 12 years in IT 10 years in solution architecture and project implementation 8+ years designing, implementing, and managing SAP business solutions, especially SAP S/4HANA Desired: Expertise in ABAP, ABAP on HANA, SAP BTP, SAP HANA, OData, SAP Gateway Knowledge of SAP Modules FI, CO, MM, HR, EAM Strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
