Overview
Hiring company is a mission-aligned investment advisory firm, is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Investment Strategy Group (ISG). The ISG is responsible for asset allocation strategy, investment manager selection, and investment communication across the firm’s client base.
This is a two-year analyst role with the option of a one-year extension. The Investment Analyst will work closely with the client service team and senior partners to produce portfolio allocation proposals for prospective clients and conduct portfolio analyses for current clients. The Analyst will also assist with manager due diligence and contribute to overall asset allocation and investment guidance. Participation in Investment Committee and Advisory Board meetings, content preparation, and meeting minutes are also part of the role.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform asset allocation modeling and analysis using proprietary portfolio modeling tools
Update firm marketing materials and collaborate on customized content
Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and produce thoughtful portfolio analyses for prospective clients
Develop, monitor, and update the new business pipeline and related reports for investment committee review
Record investment meeting content and distribute written summaries
Secondary Responsibilities
Support sourcing, research, and due diligence of new investment managers
Handle manager-specific projects and requests
Generate portfolio review presentations and support ad hoc investment projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Enthusiasm and passion for financial markets
1-2 years relevant experience (may include internships)
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Top-notch verbal and written communication skills
Strong research and analytical skills
Ability to be a self-starter, drive to results, be a team player, with a friendly and positive personality
Ability to handle pressure, deadlines, and several projects simultaneously
Ability to think critically and anticipate issues
Progress toward the CFA or CAIA designation is a plus
