Under the direction of the Prison Industries Superintendent I (Laundry), this position is responsible for supervising a group of incarcerated individual workers engaged in the process of cleaning fabrics in an institutional laundry enterprise and requires experience with Microsoft Suites and a database system. Employees will have regular and substantial contact with persons incarcerated in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation institutions and/or medical facilities. Production schedules may dictate additional work hours (overtime), including Regular Days Off and holidays. The CALPIA Laundry program is designed to meet California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institutional needs statewide. You will train and mentor incarcerated individuals who will gain knowledge and skills needed to meet the highest possible standards forLaundry and increase their chances for employment opportunities upon release. Supervisory Experience Laundry Equipment Experience: CBW Tunnel Washer,Washer Extraction, Commercial Dryers, Cart Washer, Flatiron, Conveyor Line, String Tier Experience maintaining Title 22 Compliance Computer Knowledge and/or Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database systems Professional Certification(s) such as : Certified Linen & Laundry Management, CPR, Forklift Certification Higher level Education: trade school, vocational, or major in the trade Need help with the application process?
