Logistics / Inventory-Warehouse Manager
to join our team at our Headquarters / Fabrication facility in
Apopka, FL.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Vice President for Prefabrication, this important position will provide hands-on coordination of logistics and inventory/warehouse management across all of Randall’s business units.
Essential Functions
Manage the shipping and receiving operations, including but not limited to the following tasks:
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange transportation logistics and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Review and approve all freight invoices.
Oversee accurate preparation of shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs forms, and commercial invoices.
Oversee incoming receipt of materials for accuracy and quality and assisting in resolving any discrepancies or issues with suppliers or internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with the production team and sales teams to schedule and prioritize shipments to meet customer demands.
Maintain accurate inventory control and stock management:
Implement and enforce inventory management processes, including regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and adjustments.
Monitor stock levels, identify trends, and initiate replenishment orders to avoid stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
Develop and maintain organized storage systems for raw materials, components, finished goods, and related documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines for inventory control, storage and handling of hazardous materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
Work closely with the production, quality assurance, and procurement teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues related to materials or inventory.
Collaborate with customer service and sales departments to address shipping inquiries, expedite orders, and resolve any shipping-related customer concerns.
Drive process improvements and operational efficiency:
Identify opportunities to streamline shipping, receiving, and stockroom processes, implementing best practices to optimize quality, productivity and reduce costs. Utilize data and analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on departmental performance and inventory accuracy.
Ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
Desired Qualification Requirements
Proven experience (5+ years) in shipping, receiving, stockroom management, or logistics, preferably within a construction field.
Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, customs requirements, and international trade.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, inventory management software and ERP systems.
Bilingual (English & Spanish preferred)
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive work environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
Physical Requirements
This is primarily a Shop or Field Jobsite job. You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.
