This role will support the management of a large book of business across Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and Oregon. Key Responsibilities
Underwriting & Risk Assessment
- Evaluate complex risks that fall outside standard insurance guidelines.
- Determine appropriate coverage, pricing, and policy structures.
- Negotiate terms with brokers and clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale brokers and agents.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Promote E&S insurance products.
- Oversee a portfolio of E&S accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Manage renewals, policy changes, and ongoing service needs.
- Utilize consultative sales techniques to drive business growth.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans.
- Meet or exceed sales targets.
- Ensure adherence to all regulations governing E&S insurance lines.
Insurance Expertise : Strong knowledge of E&S insurance products, underwriting principles, and industry regulations.
Sales & Negotiation Skills : Proven track record in insurance sales with excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Relationship Management : Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with brokers and clients.
Analytical Ability : Skilled in assessing complex risks and making sound underwriting decisions.
Education & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in E&S underwriting or sales.
- Professional designations (e.g., CPCU) are a plus.
