Position: General Manager – Omakase Restaurant
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager for our upscale Omakase restaurant located in Midtown, with a focus on excellence in both in-house and third-party delivery (3PD) operations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, a proven track record in restaurant management, system development, and NROs. With plans to expand to multiple locations in the next few years, we are looking for a visionary leader to help us scale while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service.

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in restaurant management with strong financial and operational skills.
- Strong background in creating and implementing SOPs for both FOH and BOH operations to ensure consistency and excellence in service.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L, budgets, and forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to build and optimize systems, from inventory management to operational workflows, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Experience in restaurant build-outs, including designing systems, establishing processes, and overseeing all stages of opening a new location.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for taking ownership of the restaurant's success and creating a brand that reflects quality, innovation, and hospitality.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a seamless guest experience and operational efficiency.
- Develop, document, and implement comprehensive SOPs for all FOH and BOH operations.
- Ensure that systems are in place for inventory management, staff performance, and food quality.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team to achieve operational excellence and a high level of service.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Oversee budgeting, P&L, and financial forecasting.
- Manage costs while maintaining high quality and profitability.
- Manage and optimize third-party delivery systems (3PD), ensuring efficient and high-quality service for take-out customers.
- Monitor performance on delivery platforms and strategize for growth.
- Collaborate with ownership and other stakeholders to design and build-out future locations, ensuring that operational systems are scalable for growth.
- Take ownership of the restaurant’s success. Care deeply about the brand, its values, and the customer experience. Treat the business as your own, constantly innovating and problem-solving.
- Ensure the highest standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.
- Work with the marketing team to drive awareness and brand positioning, particularly focusing on both in-house and delivery customers.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in restaurant management in upscale or fast-casual dining environments, preferably in Japanese cuisine
- Must have deep understanding of take-out operations and third-party delivery systems managing minimum 1-2mm in 3PD revenue
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on growth and scalability.
- Open availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift/push up to 50 pounds, including overhead
- Ability to stand for an 8-10 hour shift (excluding ½ hour break)
- Ability to walk up and down stairs
Compensation
- Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 annually, with potential for growth.
- 2 weeks PTO
