Supply Chain Professional
This position is for an established Supply Chain Professional focusing on new emerging aerospace products, supporting program management, business development and engineering in Everett, WA. In this role you will be responsible for creating and implementing plans to ensure the new product sourcing strategy is aligned with desired program outcomes. You will also support the program by coordinating and procuring test and mock-up requirements for new products to ensure design and functionality validation. What You Will Do Follows the Collins Aerospace best practice standard work for NPI processes. Acts as liaison for engineering technology, material and component optimization, new product cost analysis, design readiness and manufacturing producibility. Ensure alignment with commodity managers, account managers, supplier development, supplier quality assurance and value streams to ensure business measures are achieved. Coordinate and procure test and mock-up requirements for new products to ensure design and functionality validation. Develops supply chain plans and quality management measures for new products. Executes value analysis of new product supply chain operations. Monitors and manages scope in purchasing the new products. Responsible for planning to ensure the new product sourcing strategy is in alignment with desired program outcomes. Preparation and issuance of RFP's. Perform risk identification/analysis, and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems. Ensures FAI delivery timelines are met and changes are executed in a timely manner to support the project deliverables. Coordinates program transition from new product introduction professional to production buyer. Supports supplier relationship, development, and performance. Identifies, validates, and refines cost reduction initiatives. Establish priorities and ensure timely execution of projects. Coordinates with Commodity Management on negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms. Able to support travel as needed (up to 15%). Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience. Qualifications We Prefer Program/Project buying experience. Experience in managing test, qualification, and mock-up procurement needs within new product introductions. Strategic sourcing experience. SAP Experience Technical aptitude with ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing processes Process Improvement experience Aerospace Industry experience Microsoft Office to include excel, pivot tables, Tableau, PowerPoint Experience in procuring a variety of commodities, with a focus on electrical, machining, and sheet metal.
