Material Handler
Job Title: Fabrication Material Handler
Company Information: PrideStaff is seeking a dedicated Fabrication Material Handler to join our client's dynamic team. Job Responsibilities: • Operate overhead cranes proficiently and safely • Complete all pre-shift crane operator checklists • Manage material storage and retrieval throughout the Rebar Fabrication Department • Ensure continuous supply of materials to shearing lines and bending machines • Load delivery trucks according to documentation and established procedures • Maintain a clean and organized work area • Adhere to all safety practices and policies • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals • Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
Skills Required: • Experience with overhead crane operation (preferred but not required) • Forklift operation certification or willingness to obtain • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods • Ability to bend, walk, twist, and turn as needed for the role • Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs • Dexterity in handling, positioning, and moving materials • Strong verbal communication skills • Attention to detail and commitment to safety • Basic math skills for inventory management • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
