Corporate Staff Accountant
The Corporate Staff Accountant is responsible for the cash reporting cycle for the corporate entities, as well as assisting with the detailed monthly accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting of these entities. The position requires proven analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position will report to the Corporate Assistant Controller. Duties and Functions: Record daily cash transactions and maintain corporate cash reporting logs. Reconcile operating cash daily and produce monthly bank reconciliations. Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting. Reconcile corporate monthly expense reports and manage related invoicing to related parties. Coordinate monthly fee billings across all corporate entities and affiliates. Prepare weekly bank deposits. Support process improvement projects related to corporate accounting. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Customer service orientation that is reflected in responsiveness and timely follow up with company executives and team leads. Exemplary communication (verbal and written), organization and presentation skills. Exceptional project management skills. Effective in prioritizing work and following through on commitments. High degree of initiative and ability to work effective in teams or independently. Highly proficient using Microsoft Excel. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers. Collaborative approach with business partners at all levels of the organization. Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to handle multiple job assignments at the same time. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related field. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial accounting software such as Hotel Investor Apps (HIA), QuickBooks, Yardi, M3, Concur, etc. is a plus, but is not required.
