Infant Teacher Position
The Lead Teacher is responsible for implementing curriculum in the classroom and for the supervision and management of children in the classroom. He or she must be knowledgeable in developmental appropriate practices to supervise assistant teachers and children in their room ensuring activities and curriculum are adhered to as required by the Director. Infant Teacher responsibilities are: Ensures that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained Attends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested Helps and supervises children during all activities Physically arranges the classroom into well-defined interest areas Directs activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner Communicates appropriate information to parents and maintains developmental profiles for children Schedules and conducts parent/teacher conferences throughout the year Maintains family information board and other classroom bulletin boards Performs other duties as assigned Completes all academy and classroom paperwork, such as daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports Infant Teacher requirements are: 2+ years' experience of working on a Child Care or Daycare Teacher position Profound experience in child development and up-to-date education methods Good patience, flexibility and love for children Strong methodical and creative abilities Highly professional and dependable Strong communication and time management skills Certificate in first aid and CPR Prefer a CDA or higher in Early childhood education with 45 hours training in Early Childhood Education/Child Development Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
