Project Coordinator
Working independently and exercising good judgement and discretion, the Project Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and execute projects, events, and marketing strategy for the College of Applied Studies & Academic Success (CASAS). This role is also responsible for budget, analytics, and reporting. This position is a full-time, twelve-month, staff position in CASAS. This individual reports to the Director of Operations. Essential Functions And Responsibilities Project Coordination Independently and collaboratively plan, coordinate, execute, and complete projects of varying scope, complexity, and duration. Ensure project goals are met, stakeholders are informed, issues are troubleshot in a timely and appropriate manner, and projects are completed on time and within budget. Prepare regular status reports summarizing project progress, milestones, and key updates. Serve as a liaison between CASAS and other university departments. Event Coordination Independently and collaboratively plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee events of varying scope, complexity, and duration
including on-campus recruiting events and new student orientation. Coordinate and oversee staff and student volunteers. Provide support, feedback, and training as needed. Establish and maintain partnerships with internal and external departments and vendors. Marketing Strategy Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with university and departmental goals, industry best practice, and consumer wants and needs. Ensure that key, strategic messages are communicated effectively to target audiences across a variety of marketing mediums and channels. Serve as liaison between CASAS departments and Liberty's Marketing Department to produce marketing materials such as emails, text blasts, booklets, brochures, mailers, apparel, and other promotional items. Maintain CASAS webpages. Develop and monitor reports to track and analyze the performance and effectiveness of campaigns; recommend data-informed changes and improvements as needed. Budget Process requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with institutional policies; create and maintain office documents like invoices, reports, and purchase orders. Review, proof, and edit content for accuracy and consistency of message, as well as adherence to Liberty's branding and style guide. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations. Qualifications And Credentials Bachelor's degree (preferably in business, marketing, communications, or a related field). 1-2 years of experience in project coordination or marketing strategy, with a proven track record of coordinating complex projects. Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the campus. Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business. Regularly lift 30 or fewer pounds. The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well lit, and the noise level is moderate. Working environment may include facilitation of events outdoors occasionally. Driving Requirements
If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee's position.
