Silver Star Construction is hiring for a Human Resource Assistant in our Moore, OK office.

The Human Resource Assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, including but not limited to: maintaining our employee database, assisting the Recruiter with scheduling job interviews and onboarding. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.

HR assistant skills we're looking for include s trong communication skills, including good listening and speaking skills, to communicate with employees about sensitive matters. They also need to write well enough to organize information efficiently.

This position will report directly to the HR Director and will assist in creating policies, processes and documents.

Position Requirements

To be an ideal candidate for the human resources assistant position, some experience in our industry is a plus. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.

Proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position. Fluent in Spanish / English is required. Excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and computer skills. Basic knowledge of labor laws. Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties. Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resource department. Manage and update HR databases with different information such as: new applicants, new hires, terminations, etc. Maintain and record DOT updates and requirements for drivers. Answer telephone calls and provide needed information. Answer employees' questions and assist on requested information regarding human resource issues - policies and procedures. Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities. Assist our recruiters to coordinate communication with candidates, schedule interviews, update our database, and onboard new hires. Other duties as assigned by management.

Ultimately, you'll ensure our HR department is organized and operates smoothly to attract, hire and retain our employees.
