The Washington Post's Content Licensing team is seeking a Temporary Sales Operations Manager to join on a 6-month contract basis. This role supports the revenue team by managing and optimizing systems, processes, and workflows that enhance both pre-sale and post-sale effectiveness. You will focus on Salesforce administration, contract and data management, billing accuracy, and customer service support. This role reports to the Sales Director and offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong sales operations experience seeking a short-term engagement. Key Responsibilities Pre-Sale Operations Manage and configure Salesforce to support sales pipeline workflows, lead tracking, opportunity stages, and reporting. Coordinate basic platform updates and liaise with external development resources as needed. Maintain accurate contract records and ensure compliance with subscription agreements. Ensure data integrity across all customer records and portals. Review internal databases for rights and permissions requests, collaborating with legal and editorial teams. Work with marketing teams to develop and deliver up-to-date sales collateral. Post-Sale Operations Partner with the Billing Team to ensure accurate invoicing in line with subscription terms. Collaborate with Editorial and Engineering teams to support subscription fulfillment and technical quality assurance. Assist Finance with accurate sales performance reporting. Manage client communication channels and respond to customer service requests. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in sales operations, client services, or a related role. Proficiency with Salesforce administration and reporting. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to work independently and build partnerships across teams. Analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and customer service.
