Adjunct Faculty Position

Ivy Tech seeks qualified adjunct faculty to supplement the anatomy and physiology instruction needs of our students at the Evansville, IN campus. These are students who may pursue a careers as a chiropractor, physician's assistant, nurse, physical therapist, or many other healthcare or science related careers. There are 3 total class times available, more details are below. Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School. Major Responsibilities:

Candidates considered for adjunct positions under this posting must be able to provide instruction in person at the Evansville, IN campus. Program Operation:

Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements. Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook. Submits requested information within established timelines. Students:

Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance. Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues. Instruction:

Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Blackboard, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate. In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair. Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work. The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties associated with the position may be assigned. Hiring Range:

$45.00 per contact hour (approximately $2,160 per 8-week course). Work Hours:

Two of these modules run in our 1st 8 week term that starts on 08/25/2025. The class times are Monday & Wednesday from 6:00-8:00pm and Tuesday & Thursdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm. These are two different modules requiring either Monday/Wednesday evening availability or Tuesday/Thursday availability. There is a third module available that runs 16 weeks starting 08/25/2025. This class runs on Fridays from 9:00am -11:00am. Benefits:

Minimum Qualifications: Possesses a master's degree, or higher, in a biological science. Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction.
